VITO, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Université de Versailles Saint Quentin, Catalan Institute of Climate Sciences

The objective of the proposed research is to apply novel modelling approach to a large group of cities across Europe, to generate new insights regarding current and future levels of urban heat stress, and its variability as related to city characteristics including size, morphology, and geographic environment. The project will start with the selection of a diverse sample of 100 European cities. This will be done jointly by all partners, and also involve the European Environment Agency (EEA).
